Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and acted as the crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. Alongside her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She has also hosted the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
